BUTCHERED MOUNTS

You spent all season waiting on that big buck you had your eye on the whole year. Wow you got him. Off to the taxidermist. Now you have waited another year to get your mount back and when you see it you are not sure what is is. The taxidermist has butchered your trophy. Well first of all don't shot him, or pay him for any thing but the materials, if anything. Second don't leave it there, bring it home. Don't take it home and shot it again or use it as a target. It can be fixed and become a beautiful mount.
That's right it can be remounted. Choose another taxidermist. Most don't know that a mount can be rehydrate and remounted. Yes your original cape and antlers. It's like starting over.
If the taxidermist who butchered your mount didn't process the cape and preserve it properly we may have to replace the cape. If the cape was preserved properly you can remount it as much as you like.
This applies to all mounts. You can also change you back board or you habitat base. Wont to add another animal to an existing mount? No problem. Most taxidermist have what we call add on's. These are small animals or game birds that you can add to your mount. Example a rabbit to your bobcat mount, in a stalking position.
